An Unexpected Hiatus

I had originally hoped to start an Editorial section of Metal Saves under better circumstances but recent events have given me the perfect opportunity to make the first post.

I'd like to take this opportunity to explain to regular readers about the reasons behind having to hit pause on the blog for a short while. While it's a been a tough year for all so far, my own personal experience was turned upside down in mid-August with a close family member suddenly falling seriously ill and quickly passing away as a result of conditions not related to the COVID virus.

Obviously, I need to take some time for this, to support my family and grieve, the process took a little longer than expected with other things going on at the same time but after a long and tough few weeks, I am finally in a position where I feel I can pick back up and continue with the Metal Saves project.

I know for a fact I have a ton of great music overflowing in my inbox and DM's and I will get to what I can as quickly as I can, I'd like to thank all my PR partners, labels, and band connections for their patience and to thank you, the readers for your support and understanding.

Stay safe and never turn it down
